February puzzles

In February I finished 2 puzzles - 500 piece cute kitties and puppies (unfortunately there was 1 piece missing)

and this one  from ceaco called New Fangled Angles

as you can see it had really weird shaped pieces and we couldn't start from the edges as they only connected in the points of triangle pieces. SO despite it being just over 500 pieces it took 2 of us forever - but the image is lovely so it was time well spend

How it all started

I decided to reuse my old blog that had no new content in almost 9 year for my new hobby - puzzles.

My daughter Sofia and me decided to spend time on New Year's Eve with building this puzzle - 1000 pc - Night at the Drive-in from Buffalo puzzles. Took us over 3 hours, but we finished it before midnight. Love the image  - only problem was the glare from over head light.

then on New Year's Day we did another one - this one is only 500 pieces - Cozy Bathroom from Ravensburger - my photo is garbage so I'm including a link to the original on Amazon.

This one was fun to make and the finish is matte so less glare.

SOS165 - Feathers & Chipboard

This week's challenge at Shopping Our Stash is to use Chipboard.

Since I couldn't find any chipboard I would use, I made my own by cutting up some cereal boxes and die cutting my feather out of them. Then I stamped the feather image on white CS, die cut it and adhered it to the "chipboard" die cut.
Background was done with acrylic block technique on watercolor paper.
  • Paper: Watercolor CS, Island Indigo
  • Stamps: *NEW* Four Feathers
  • Ink:  Pear Pizzas, Island Indigo, Coastal Cabana, Versamark, Gable Green
  • Other: Scissors, Paper Trimmer, mister, white embossing powder, feathers die
